Library News
The renovations to the library are now complete. We reopened on Monday, June 8. The library now has a new entrance and drop box at the front of the building. In addition, there are two new rooms on the upper floor, a senior adult room, for patrons aged 55 and older, and a teen room for patrons aged 11-18. There are three new study rooms on the main floor of the library, and two new seating areas. A conversational seating area is located near the paperback book section, and a quiet seating area is located in the magazine and newspaper room.
We also have added Wi-fi to our library, for patrons who are using laptop computers. Please be aware that our computer usage/online behavior policy also applies to laptop usage throughout the building. The community room has been completely refurbished with new carpeting, tables, chairs, and audio/video projection systems. On behalf of the

The library will be having a Wii Game Night program for Teens and Tweens called "Can I Beat My Librarian @ Wii Sports." The event will be held on February 18 from 5:00-7:30 in the Community Room. Morristown-Hamblen Library entered a float in this year's Downtown Morristown Association's Christmas Parade. The theme of our float was "Sweet Reads @ Your Library." On behalf of the library, we would like to thank the Friends of the Library, library board members, volunteers, staff and family for their generosity, time, and participation. Sweet Reads at Your Library Christmas Parade Float
The Children's Room will be having a Valentine's Day Story Time on Wednesday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m. There will be stories and songs about Valentine's Day, along with a valentine craft the children can make and take home. All children and families are invited to come! The Children's Room will also be celebrating President's Day with a special Story Time on Wednesday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. Songs and books about Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and being President will be presented.
