There is also a Therapy Dog program on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for children to come and practice their reading skills (depending upon availability of a therapy dog for the program). All children and their families are invited. Other program events include holiday programs, movie night and game night. Please check with the Children’s Librarian for the current program schedule or view our current events calendar.
Summer Reading Program
Sam the Turtle coming for the Summer Reading Program 2017! Stay Tuned….
How do I register for the program?
Registration begins in May. Each child who registers will receive log card to record the books they read. To receive credit for incentive prizes and to be entered in the grand prize drawing, all bingo cards/log sheets must be filled out and presented at the children’s room desk. Incentives will not be given once a patron leaves the library. The library is not responsible for lost/missing Summer Reading Program records, but new log cards are available if needed.
Prize Incentive Levels
Two prize packs—including coupons, stickers, tattoos, pencils, etc—will be awarded (while supplies last) for children who earn the following:
1st Completed Record: Prize Pack 1
2nd Completed Record: Prize Pack 2 and Entry in the Grand Prize Drawing
Additional Completed Records: Entry in the Grand Prize Drawing.
Grand Prize Drawing
The grand prize drawing will be held at the finale party. To be entered in the drawing, each child must complete their log cards by the determined deadline NO EXCEPTIONS! Children do not need to be present at the drawing to win. All winners will be notified by phone.
