Story Time at the Library
The Children’s Library offers programming for young children on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Every other Wednesday we have stories and crafts. On alternate Wednesdays, we have music and movement. Activities take place in the Community Room.
Read to a Dog Program
Our Read to a Dog program for children to come and practice their reading skills is on Saturday mornings in the Children’s Room. Hope, a Labrador Retriever mix, is here from 10:30 a.m.-noon every other Saturday. Bertie, an Irish Wolfhound, is here from 11:00 a.m.-noon on alternate Saturdays. Have fun while improving your reading skills with one of our therapy dogs. If you can’t read yet, you can look at a picture book and explain in your own words what the book is about. The dogs love to listen to you! All children and their families are invited.
Family Fun Evenings
We have activities designed for everyone in your family to enjoy together every other Tuesday. Family Game Night is on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. Family Movie Night is on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. These events are held in the Community Room.
Other special events and holiday programs are held during the year. Please check with the Children’s Librarian for the current program schedule or view our current events calendar.
