Children’s Trick-or-Treat Scavenger Hunt

Miss Vanda is not able to host her Halloween Party and Parade this year.  She sure will miss seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes!  She is providing a fun Halloween activity that you can do at home instead.  It is a Trick-or-Treat Scavenger Hunt from our friends at BiznGiggles.com.  See if you can find all the items in the list over the next 2 weeks. During the last week of October, come to the Children’s Room with proof that you did the scavenger hunt, such as a note from your parent, and you will receive a treat bag.  We hope you have a happy and safe Halloween!

Our Read to a Dog program for children to come and practice their reading skills is on Saturday mornings in the Children’s Room.  Hope, a Labrador Retriever mix, is here from 11:00 a.m.-noon every other Saturday.  Bertie, an Irish Wolfhound, is here from 11:00 a.m.-noon on alternate Saturdays.  Have fun while improving your reading skills with one of our therapy dogs.  If you can’t read yet, you can look at a picture book and explain in your own words what the book is about.  The dogs love to listen to you!  All children and their families are invited.
