The Morristown-Hamblen Library Teen Room has been established for teens ages 12 to 19.

Teens will finds events and materials selected with teens in mind.

TeenBookCloud is a free online database of YA/Teen Graphic Novels, Enhanced Novels, eBooks, and classic literature.  Our Enhanced Novels feature professional narration paired with line by line highlighting.  Follow along with the narrator until you are ready to read on your own!  Also, don’t forget to check out the hundreds of audiobooks and videos.  The collection is available online around the clock.  No downloads, no waiting!  If you can access the internet, you can be reading, watching, or listening to fantastic content in an instant!

Did you know you can watch thousands of feature films, documentaries, and bingeable series for free from our library?  Get out your library card and sign up for Kanopy to get started today! Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to morristownhamblen.kanopy.com
  2. Enter your library, library card number and phone number
  3. Create a Kanopy account
  4. Start watching videos!  The viewing experience on Kanopy is easier than ever with the switch from play credits to tickets.  You’ll get a set number of tickets each month and you can watch as many titles as our library’s ticket limit allows.  From a title’s details page, you will be able to easily see how many tickets are required and how long you’ll have to watch it before pressing play.

Summer Reading Begins!    May 13

MHL Presents Unearth a Story Starting May 13, Register for fun reading challenges and have the chance to win cool prizes! Summer Reading Program is open for ages 0-18 and will end on Friday, June 26!

🎉 Summer Reading registration OPENs May 13! 🎉
This year’s theme is Unearth a Story! 🦖🪏🦴📖
You can sign your child or teen up any time during our fun, FREE 6-week program.
Stop by the Children’s Library to register and pick up a reading log!
There is an early literacy log for kids age 0-3, a bingo style log for children 4-12, and a reading log for teens to track pages read.
When you complete a reading log, return it to the Children’s Library to get a prize pack! You can complete up to 3 reading logs during the program for more prizes and chances to win a grand prize drawing!
The last day to turn in a reading log is June 26 by noon.
Sprinkled into the 6-week period, there will be some fun, FREE programs targeted for different age groups, and some that allow a mix of different age groups to participate.
