Summer Book Club    Register by June 2

MH Library Presents Summer Book Club What Was the Lewis and Clark Expedition? by Judith St. George Reading level: 4th-6th graders Community Room on Tuesdays: June 10, June 24, July 8, July 22 from 1-3pm Register in the Children's Room by Monday, June 2, 2025. Sandy Bethke, an educator, will guide students on this expedition as they use thinking and reasoning skills to plan their own adventures. Bonus: Students may enter either a poster or essay to compete for first place prizes of $50 or second place prizes of $25. The cost is $5 per student and includes the book!

Snack Attack    July 7

Lego Club   July 8 & 19

Morristown-Hamblen Library presents: Lego Club Ages 7-17 Tues. July 8th @ 4-5pm Sat. 19th @2-3pm We will meet in the Community Room Call 423-586-6410 or Text: 423-301-6882 to sign up! A different theme is given each meeting, or you may use your own theme. Legos will be provided. Please do not bring your own. All Legos must stay at the Library at the end of the club meeting. Creations will be displayed in the teen room upstairs for all patrons to see your awesome work!

Messy Art Day  New Date! July 12

New Date! Messy Art Day Presented by Morristown-Hamblen Library Saturday, July 12 10am Ages 0-18 Shuck Shelter at Frank Lorino Park Meet us at Frank Lorino Park for a day of messy fun! Please come prepared because it will be a fun-filled messy day! Children will have the opportunity to experiment with different forms of art outside.

DOROTHY’S SUPER FUN SUMMER GAMES!!

Children are invited to come to the Morristown-Hamblen Library Children’s Room for fun games created by Miss Dorothy, including darts, cornhole, and stack ’em.  Everything is free, so come and enjoy some family time at the library!


Story Time at the Library

The Children’s Library offers programming for young children on Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:30 a.m.  We enjoy stories, songs, nursery rhymes, music, dancing, snacks, and play time.  Activities take place in the Community Room.

Read to a Dog Program

Therapy Dog Odie is coming to the Children’s Library every other Saturday at 11am.   Come and share a favorite book with him!  Odie will be here on July 12 and 26, 2025.

Our Read to a Dog program welcomes children to come and practice their reading skills.  Have fun while improving your reading skills with one of our therapy dogs.  If you can’t read yet, you can look at a picture book and explain in your own words what the book is about.  The dogs love to listen to you!  All children and their families are invited.
